UNIVA Capital Group and Oak Capital Acquire Big Island Country Club

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii – After five years of revitalizing one of Hawaii Island’s premier golf courses, Moshe Silagi, President of Silagi Development and Management, has sold his interest in the Big Island Country Club to a joint venture of UNIVA Capital Group and OAK Capital, UNIVA Resort, LLC.

Selling broker Rick Oliver, a real estate agent with Clark Realty Corporation on the Big Island, will continue in his role as General Manager of Big Island Country Club. Rick and the current members are pleased that the new owner will continue the long-planned development of the property into a family-oriented resort destination along with developing additional residential properties to bring to market. Planned improvements include building out the roadway and water infrastructure needed to support the new clubhouse and eventually the development and sale of beautiful “Up Country” home sites in Pu’uanahulu.

Local golf pros have taken notice of the improvements over the last year few years with the total number of rounds played increasing from 21,500 when Silagi purchased the property to over 40,000 rounds in 2015.
